“General Hospital” star Kirsten Storms’ ex-husband, Brandon Barash, got an emergency restraining order against the actress.
A judge approved the request after Barash claimed that Storms is dealing with a “mental health crisis” that’s made him fearful for their 12-year-old daughter’s well-being, according to court documents obtained by TMZ on Monday.
In the docs, Barash, 46, said that after the pair’s divorce in 2016, they moved separately to Tennessee, where Storms, 42, allegedly got sued by her landlord for eviction.
According to Barash, “instability with housing has been a recurring theme” for Storms, who allegedly didn’t have a permanent residence from September 2024 to June 2025.
Barash claimed that Storms frequently changed hotel rooms because she was convinced people were “following her and the child to her room.”
Furthermore, Storms’ ex-husband said she owes him $5,000 that he loaned her to stop her car from being repossessed.
Elsewhere in the docs, Barash claimed that in May 2025, Storms told him she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.”
Barash claimed that Storms ended up being hospitalized and put on psychiatric hold, but once she was released, she allegedly acted as if nothing had happened.
Barash also alleged that Storms’ friend told him that his ex is abusing Adderall and possibly other substances.
Storms, according to her ex-husband, has had “repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, hearing things/voices that weren’t there.”
In his filing, Barash asked the court to make Storms undergo a mental health evaluation.
Storms currently has supervised visitation with their daughter. The judge is set to review the status of the restraining order later this week, according to TMZ.
Page Six has reached out to Storms and Barash’s reps for comment.
Barash and Storms met on the set of “General Hospital” and got married in 2013. Their daughter was born in 2014 and they got divorced two years later.
Last July, Storms, who has played Maxie Jones on the soap opera since 2005, revealed that she was taking an extended leave of absence from the series to undergo brain surgery.
She returned to the show in February after a six-month hiatus.
