Pop icon Cher mistakenly called Luther Vandross up to the stage instead of Kendrick Lamar in a hilarious flub at the Grammys.

The “Believe” songstress was slated to announce Record of the Year at Sunday’s ceremony in Los Angeles — but she seemingly lost track of the task as she rambled about her career before attempting to leave the stage.

Host Trevor Noah stopped Cher in her tracks, requesting that she present the highly anticipated award before leaving.

The legendary singer, 79, then returned to the mic to make the announcement, pausing and turning to the side before admitting she thought the winner would be flashed on the prompter.

After opening the envelope, the hitmaker — who picked up a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony — enthusiastically announced the winner as Vandross, though the award actually was for Lamar and SZA for “Luther.”

She quickly corrected herself, shouting out that the honor was actually going to Lamar.

The eight-time Grammy winner, who boasted a mind-boggling 33 nominations throughout his career, passed away in 2005 at the age of 54.

Fans took to social media to acknowledge the blunder.

“Cher said the Grammy goes to Luther Vandross. She wasn’t that far off. I love how she acknowledged him. He’s so missed,” one person wrote on X, while another added, “Waiting for the Cher memes … omg she’s too funny …”

“Cher ecstatically saying Luther Vandross has beautiful depth to it. Incredible,” remarked a third, with a fourth joking, “I love how excited Cher was to come back to give Luther Vandross the #Grammy.”

Another chimed in, “‘And the Grammy goes to Luther Vandross’ Never change Cher never change.”

Cher is no stranger to the Grammys — the beloved vocalist received a Grammy for her 1998 megahit “Believe” from the Recording Academy.

The songstress’s music career began in the 1960s and has continued for over six decades.
